For the proud citizens of the United States, the American flag is a symbol of liberty and sacrifice. It is believed that Betsy Ross was the one who sewed the first American flag. But a lot of people claimed that too many details and extraordinary events were overlooked and the truth behind the real person who made the flag was not clear. One example is that there were colonies that adopted different flag versions that represent new American beliefs. The “Don’t Tread on Me” is one version that has read and white stripes that shows a snake across it. The one used by George Washington is a popular option.
